ASX advances to a six-week high as Santa’s bulls’ rally gains

The Australian share market has closed in positive territory as the bull-run rides Santa sleigh into its fourth bullish streak, with ten out of the 11 sectors were trading higher, with the technology space leading the front.

The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 index rose +32.7 points, or +0.44% to 7,420.3, while the All Ordinaries added +37.2 points, or +0.48%, to 7,744.7, while our local currency, the Australian dollar, is currently buying US$0.7242.

The “Fab Four” bank climb continued with Commonwealth Bank advancing +0.52% to $100.63, while NAB rose +0.63%, to $28.89, ANZ added +0.22%, to $27.46 and Westpac rose +0.09%, to $21.20.
