ASX ends in mixed territory

The Australian share market finished Thursday’s session up +0.11%, even though the Materials lifted the index.

At the closing bell, the benchmark S&P/ASX 200 index rose +7.9 points, or +0.11%, to 7,407.3, while the All Ordinaries added +11.4 points, or +0.15%, to 7,736.0, while our local currency, the Australian dollar, is currently buying US$0.7180.

Iron ore added +2.9%, to $US102.75 a tonne with BHP Group added +1%, to $38.62, Rio Tinto gained +1.6%, to $96.63, and Fortescue Metals Group added +1.8%, to $17.88.
